Brian BEDARD, the Director of Animal Health and Food Safety for Alinea International, is a veterinary epidemiologist and food safety specialist with experience in Canada, the United States, China, Southeast Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Mongolia, Latin America and the Caribbean regions. His work has included international projects and programs related to livestock health and production, sustainable agriculture, food safety, R&D, curriculum development, training, and the facilitation of sustainable agri-food value chains through public-private partnerships. During his tenure at the World Bank, he managed international programs such as the Global Food Safety Partnership (GFSP), the Global Program for Human and Avian Influenza (GPAI) and One Health Initiatives.
