Dana Dickerson is the Manager of Market Development at Grain Farmers of Ontario, the province’s largest commodity association, representing 28,000 barley, corn, oat, soybean and wheat farmers. Dana is responsible for promoting Ontario grains throughout the downstream grain value chain across a variety of end uses including food, drink, feed, fuel and bioproducts. She is also responsible leading the retention and expansion of domestic and international grain markets, overseeing sustainability initiatives, and supporting new market and grain utilization opportunities for Ontario farmers. Dana and her team manage Grain Farmers of Ontario’s annual Grains Innovation Fund, which invests in innovative value chain projects that lead to novel or expanded uses for Ontario grains. Prior to joining Grain Farmers of Ontario, Dana served as the North American Head of Sector for Consumer Goods and Agri-Food for the Department for International Trade at the British Consulate-General in Toronto. Dana holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce with a major in International Business and minor in French language from Lakehead University.
