Melissa Secord is a highly respected leader in the Canadian and international celiac communities and is currently serving as the Executive Director of Celiac Canada, a national charity dedicated to supporting individuals living with celiac disease and gluten-related disorders. Prior to joining Celiac Canada, Melissa worked in various management and board roles including Ontario Association of Optometrists, Vision Insitute of Canada, the co-operative and education sectors. She is also a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and has a degree in Political Science. Melissa is a passionate advocate for the celiac community and has worked tirelessly to improve access to gluten-free products, increase awareness of celiac disease, and support research initiatives. Under her leadership, Celiac Canada has changed key legislation and health regulations, launched the State of Celiac in Canada health report, increased essential resources, education, and support to individuals living with celiac disease and their families.
