Frank Mastromattei is an award-winning Executive Chef, Director of Food & Beverage, and Professor at George Brown College, and the recipient of the 2025 Food & Beverage Department of the Year Award. With extensive experience leading high-volume culinary operations and large hospitality teams, Frank is known for his expertise in food safety, operational excellence, and guest experience. He has successfully guided food and beverage departments through complex challenges, including economic uncertainty and high-demand events, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

A recognized industry leader, he has led teams of over 1,000 employees, inspiring peak performance through hands-on mentorship, rigorous training, and a focus on service and safety excellence. Frank has appeared on Breakfast Television, the Food Network, Global TV, CHCH-TV, Telelatino Network, and other media outlets, sharing his knowledge on culinary innovation, food safety, and hospitality management.

As a Professor at George Brown College, he connects real-world leadership and operational experience with classroom learning to prepare the next generation of hospitality professionals. He has also spoken at universities across North America, bringing his expertise in food and beverage operations, safety standards, and leadership to broader audiences. Frank leverages modern tools, including Artificial Intelligence, to enhance menu development, streamline operations, and introduce innovative culinary programs, all while ensuring consistent adherence to food safety and regulatory standards.
